- On 17 August, JS KASHIMA (4,050 ton) and JS MAKINAMI (4,650 ton) of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Forces (JMSDF) Training Squadron, commanded by Rear Admiral Hiroyuki IZUMI, will visit the Port of Katajanokka, Helsinki. The number of crew is approximately 580 personnel.
- During the port call, such events as follow are scheduled: Special Opening of KASHIMA (for media on 17 August from 08:30), music performance and martial arts performance (Esplanade Park on 18 August from 18:00-19:15).
- On 18 August at 13:00-15:00, Public Opening of MAKINAMI is scheduled. To partipate in this event, please come to the Port of Katajanokka (ERA). No pre-registration is required. Please wear comfortable shoes and keep your luggage as small as possible. For other details, please read the instruction in advance.
