On 18 August, the Wreath Laying Ceremony took place at the cemetery of unknown solders and of Marshal Mannerheim, followed by a public open ship of JS MAKINAMI, to which 915 people participated (about 180 attended at a special open ship on 19th). At the Esplanade Park, approximately 2500 people gathered for the Training Squadron’s band music performance, Japanese taiko drum play and Karate performance.

After Helsinki, the Training Squadron will visit Portsmouth, UK, and it will pass through the Panama Canal to return to Japan on 30 October. We wish their safe journey.
