On 17 January, the preview of “Snow Flower” was held at Maxim Theatre in Helsinki as part of celebration for the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Finland, and under the auspices of the relevant agencies such as Business Finland, Visit Finland and Finnair. This preview was followed by a networking reception at the Glo Hotel Art, which by the way is one of the locations filmed in the movie. Mr. Watai, producer, and Mr. Hashimoto, director of this movie came all the way from Japan to join us. (→remarks by Ambassador Yamamoto)
For creating this film, a variety of supports such as financial incentives were extended by the Finnish side. Attendants in the preview expressed their strong wishes that the public viewing be made possible in Finland in the near future.
