Diplomatic/Official Visa

This visa is for diplomats and officials who are not subject to the visa exemption arrangement (e.g. Finland).
Please note that the nationalities eligible for visa exemptions are different for diplomatic passport holders than those applying with ordinary passports.
Visa Exemptions for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders

Note:
(1) On applying for visa, you must read “How to Apply” carefully.
(2) During the visa process, the applicant may be requested to submit additional documents deemed necessary.
(3) You must prepare all documents in A4 size and bring physical visa application documents and do not staple documents.
(4) The duration of the issued document should be within 3 months from the date of issue, and be submitted within its validity period.
(5) Required documents to be submitted should be original documents, unless specifically indicated. If you want us to return original documents (Certificates issued by authorities, etc.), you must submit the copy with the original one.
(6) Diplomatic or official visas are free of charge.
 

Required documents


For SHORT-TERM Diplomatic/Official Trip

1) Valid passport
          Should have at least 2 blank pages for visa
2) Copy of valid passport
          Only bio-date page (printed on A4 paper)
(3) Application Form
        Applicants who have passports issued by Russia, CIS countries and Georgia need to submit 2 application forms.
         If there is any omission in the description, it will be not accepted. If an item does not apply to you, write "Not Applicable" or "N/A". 
        The applicant must sign by him/herself. Electrical signature is not acceptable.
4)  Photograph
         4.5cm×3.5cm, taken within last 6 months
         Applicants who have passports issued by Russia, CIS countries and Georgia need to submit 2 photographs.
5) Note Verbale or Official Letter from the applicant's government, department, agency or organization that is sending the applicant on official travel/assignment.
         The Note Verbal and official letter must include the information listed below:
        a) Applicant’s full name and passport number
        b) The applicant's current title and position
        c) The purpose of the travel/assignment
        d) The assigned place and duration (this must match the arrival date and location listed on the VISA Application Form)
 

For LONG-TERM Assignment

1) Valid passport
          Should have at least 2 blank pages for visa
2) Copy of valid passport
          Only bio-date page (printed on A4 paper)
(3) Application Form
         Applicants who have passports issued by Russia, CIS countries and Georgia need to submit 2 application forms.

        b) The applicant's diplomatic/official title: if you apply for a diplomat visa, please specify the diplomatic title/rank, not a functional or organizational title (e.g. First Secretary, Attaché).
        c) The name of the assigned organization and duration (this must match the arrival date and location listed on the VISA Application Form)
        d) Type of visa requested (Diplomatic/Official)
        e) (If family members apply for visa together) the family member’s name, passport numbers, and relationship to the principal applicant. It must explicitly state the spouse/dependent is authorized to accompany an official travel/assignment.
